View, search, and manage every member in your account from a single master list

The All Contacts view is the master list of every contact in your account. Regardless of which groups a contact belongs to, they always appear here. Use this view to search for specific people, review contact details, and manage your list at scale.

Accessing All members

Navigate to Contacts in the left-hand navigation and select All Contacts. The platform displays every contact record in your account, sorted by the date they were added (newest first by default).

What You See in the List

Each row in the All members list shows key information at a glance:

  • Name — First and last name, if available. members without a name display their phone number only.
  • Phone Number — The mobile number associated with the member.
  • Group Membership — Which groups the member belongs to.
  • Opt-In Status — Whether the member is currently opted in to receive messages.
  • Date Added — When the member was first created in your account.

Searching, Filtering, and Sorting

Use the search bar at the top of the contact list to find a specific contact by name or phone number. Results update as you type.

Filter

Apply filters to narrow the list by criteria such as opt-in status, group membership, or date range. Filters are useful when you need to focus on a specific segment without leaving the All members view.

Sort

Click on any column header to sort the list by that field. Click again to toggle between ascending and descending order.

Viewing Contact Details

Click on any member row to open their full profile. The member detail view shows:

  • All profile fields (name, phone, email, and any custom fields)
  • Group assignments
  • Opt-in and opt-out history
  • Message history with that member
  • Any notes or tags associated with the record

Editing member Information

From the member detail view, click Edit to update any profile field. You can change the member's name, add an email address, update custom fields, or modify group assignments. Save your changes when finished.

You can also edit members in bulk by selecting multiple rows in the list and choosing a bulk action, such as assigning members to a group or updating a field.

Removing members

To remove a member, open their profile and select the delete or remove option. Keep the following in mind:

  • Deleting a contact is permanent. The contact record and their message history will be removed.
  • Opt-out is not the same as deletion. If a member has opted out, their record remains in your account so the platform can honor future opt-out requests from that number. Do not delete opted-out members unless you have a specific reason to do so.
  • Re-adding a deleted member requires a new opt-in from that person before you can message them again.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Clean your list regularly. Review members that have not engaged in several months. Removing stale records keeps your list healthy and your analytics accurate.
  • Check for delivery failures. If a member's messages are consistently failing, their number may be invalid or disconnected. Investigate and remove if necessary.
  • Review group assignments. members sometimes end up without a group assignment after an import or manual addition. Periodically scan All members for unassigned records and place them in the appropriate group.
  • Use search before adding. Before creating a new member, search All members to make sure the number does not already exist. Duplicate records can cause confusion and double-messaging.

Common Questions

Why does a member appear in All members but not in any group?

members added via the Inbox or through a direct message are saved to your account but are not automatically assigned to a group. Open the member's profile and assign them to the appropriate group.
